APIBlock
by SunkenPotato
APIBlock is a Fabric technology block that lets players send HTTP requests from within Minecraft.
What it does
A placeable block sends HTTP requests from inside the game. The block supports HTTP GET and HTTP POST calls and carries request content, and a user-facing command interface lets players set up and trigger those requests. The block uses a texture model, so it looks like a machine rather than a plain placeholder.
The mod runs on Fabric and is used on both client and server, so servers and every player that joins need it. Files exist for 1.21 – 1.21.11, twelve release versions in total, and the latest Fabric file is 0.4 for 1.21.11, published 2026-06-10. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public. The built jar is retrieved from build/libs/apiblock-.jar after a local build.
Key features
HTTP GET requests
The block can issue GET requests to a web address, for fetching data into a world from an external source.
HTTP POST requests
The block can send POST requests with a body, for pushing data out of the game to a web service.
Request content
Request content can be set on the block, so the same block handles different payloads.
Command interface
A user-accessible UI command interface lets players configure and trigger requests without editing files.
Texture model
The block has its own texture model, so it is visible and recognizable in a build.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
1.21.x12 of 12 versions with builds
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Connecting to web services
A build can query an outside service with GET or push results to one with POST, for example to report server status.
Experiments in automation
Technology-focused worlds can use the block to explore how in-game logic might send and receive external data.
Who it’s for: Players who want technology blocks that reach outside the game, and server owners who run networked contraptions, are the audience for APIBlock.
