GamerulePlease

by Yunivers

GamerulePlease brings modern gamerules to Minecraft Beta through StationAPI, letting a world toggle rules such as keepInventory and the nether portal delay.

FabricBabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen sourceb1.7.3

What it does

Beta has no gamerule system, so this Fabric and Babric mod reimplements the modern rule set on top of StationAPI. Rules can be read and changed in a world, and the changes are stored with that world. Glass Config API and StationAPI are required, and ModMenu Beta is optional, though the author recommends it for opening the settings screen.

The mod runs on the client and the server, so both need it. Its files are published for b1.7.3 only, under the MIT License, with an open source repository and an issue tracker. Snapshot builds are published alongside the release files, and the first release dates from 2025-04-10, with the latest update on 2025-10-11.

Key features

  1. Modern gamerules on Beta

Gamerules from later Minecraft versions are added to b1.7.3, so world behavior can be adjusted without editing files.

  2. keepInventory rule

The keepInventory rule keeps a player's items after death. In multiplayer it is reported as unreliable, so it is worth testing on a single-player world first.

  3. Nether portal delay rule

The playersNetherPortalDelay rule changes how long a player must wait before a nether portal takes effect, and it works in single-player only.
