FullscreeNO

by bikerboys

FullscreeNO stops Minecraft from launching in fullscreen mode on startup, while leaving every other fullscreen option working.

ForgeClient-side onlyMIT License1.20 – 1.20.4

What it does

On launch, the game opens in a window rather than taking over the whole screen, and players can still switch to fullscreen from the video settings whenever they want. The mod is client-side only, so only the player's installation needs it, and servers run without it. It is published for Forge only, across five game versions, 1.20 – 1.20.4, under the MIT License, and the code is not open source.

Key features

  1. Windowed startup

Minecraft opens in a window at launch instead of switching straight to fullscreen.

  2. Fullscreen still available

The fullscreen toggle in the video settings keeps working as before.

  3. Based on a Fabric mod

The Forge version follows the idea of an earlier Fabric mod with the same purpose.
