Frozen Nether Roof

by braytonk4

Frozen Nether Roof adds a frozen sub-dimension above the Nether roof, reached through new gateway structures that generate throughout the Nether.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalAll rights reserved26.1 – 26.3

What it does

Players who travel through the new Nether Gateway structures reach a frozen layer beyond the roof, a frigid wasteland with new biomes, mobs and Stray Tower structures. On the upper level of each tower, an Ice Cube (the frozen relative of the Slime and Magma Cube) appears, and the Nether Gateway there calls up a Stray Champion, while every tower contains its own distinct miniboss.

The mod also updates the Nether Fortress layout: a Navigation Tower generates alongside the fortress bridges. Ice Cubes split into smaller Ice Cubes when killed, and those drop snowballs. The mod is available as a datapack for server platforms, and Forge, Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt builds exist for 26.1 – 26.3, with 1.1.1+mod for 26.3 as the latest file. It is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. Server owners need it installed on the server, while players may add it to their client.
