Updated Nether Fortress revamps the vanilla nether fortress structure with new bridges, rooms and passageways while keeping its chests, mob spawns and locations.

What it does

Updated Nether Fortress is a world generation mod from braytonk4 that changes how nether fortresses are built. Its bridges and rooms are visually reworked, and passageway room generation is varied to give more to explore. Nether wart rooms are included in fortresses, so the crop can be found inside the structure.

The mod is delivered as a data pack, so it can be placed on a server without installing anything on the client. Loot tables, mob spawns and structure locations stay as they are in vanilla, which keeps existing worlds and progression familiar. Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt files exist, and the latest build, 1.7.1+mod, targets 26.3 and was published on 2026-09-20. The first release came out on 2025-09-01. The server must run the mod, while players may add it for the same fortresses on their own side. The code is All rights reserved and the mod is not open source.
