FPS Benchmark

by randomfinder

FPS Benchmark is a Fabric utility that runs a cinematic stress sequence and reports frame rate, tick time and memory figures for the game.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21 – 1.21.1

What it does

A run starts from the in-game menu with the Run Base Benchmark button. When the run finishes, a summary screen appears at once and a results table is written in Markdown and JSON to a folder named fpstest-reports.

For tinkerers, 40 deeper stress tests target a range of workloads, each with Quick, Full and Long duration presets. Two saved sessions can be compared with one click, which writes a compare-A-vs-B.md file showing results per test. An optional overlay can show FPS, frame milliseconds, tick milliseconds and heap during runs, with four anchor positions and a compact mode.

The mod needs Fabric API on Fabric for 1.21 and 1.21.1, both listed as game versions, with the latest file 1.0 for 1.21.1 published on 2026-05-01. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. The interface is translated into eight locales: English, Español, Français and Deutsch among them.

Key features

  1. Cinematic base run

One button starts a scripted camera path through eight stress scenes in a temporary world that is cleared afterwards.

  2. Summary and results files

A 3DMark-style summary screen appears at once, and results are saved as a Markdown table and a JSON file.

  3. Deeper stress tests

Forty additional tests cover a range of workloads, each offered in three duration presets.

  4. Run comparison and overlay

Two saved sessions can be compared into one file, and a configurable overlay shows live metrics while a run is active.
