Fox Friend

With Fox Friend installed, foxes can be tamed and kept near their owner for longer, since the fear that normally makes them flee is removed.
What it does
Fox Friend changes how foxes behave around players. Normally a fox runs away as soon as a player approaches, but the mod removes that fear mechanic, so a fox can be tamed and will stay close. From version 6.0 onward, feeding a fox an apple makes it follow its owner, and right-clicking a fox makes it wait in place. Foxes also regenerate health while eating on their own, and the mod backports foxes to 1.12.2.
Owners can crouch and right-click a fox to change the item it is holding. Foxes can be bred with carrots, beetroots and items with berries, and the mod supports picking sweet berries in the Future MC mod. Fox Friend is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric and Forge across 28 release versions, 1.12.2 – 1.21.11. The server and every player need the mod installed.
