Chainmailed

by Fluffpumpkin

Chainmailed lets chainmail armor be worn over other armor, adding armor points while keeping the rest of the set visible underneath.

FabricServer required, client optionalMIT License1.21.4

What it does

Chainmail armor pieces can be equipped on top of other armor, and each piece adds its own armor points to the total. Each chainmail piece is made by pairing the matching armor piece with one iron ingot at a smithing table. Armor trims are kept in step with the overlay, so a trim that is removed or replaced also removes or replaces the bonus. Chainmailed is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.4, with version 1.0 as the latest file. It is licensed under the MIT License and is not open source. It is required on the server and optional for players.

Key features

  1. Chainmail overlay

Chainmail armor can be worn over other armor, with each piece adding armor points to the total.

  2. Smithing recipes

Each chainmail piece is crafted at a smithing table from the matching armor piece and one iron ingot.

  3. Trim-linked bonus

Removing or overwriting an armor trim also removes or overwrites the chainmail bonus, keeping the visuals and effect in step.
