Flowstone
by Nubivago
Flowstone changes which blocks form when lava meets water or ice, and which ores generate in stone, deepslate and netherrack, on Fabric servers.
What it does
Flowstone is a world generation mod that changes the results of lava contact. When lava meets water, a cobblestone or stone block forms in the vanilla way, but Flowstone can swap the result for another block, such as Blue Ice or Nether Basalt. Each of these reactions is a separate option in the configuration file, so a server owner can turn individual rules on or off.
Its main purpose is to make ores renewable. Stone and deeper stone that form under specific conditions can be replaced by ore blocks, so ores stay available in the world instead of depending only on the original generation. Ores tagged under c:ores in the loaded data are picked up automatically, and each ore's frequency follows the configuration rather than vanilla distribution rules. Flowstone is open source under the MIT License and runs on the server side only, so players join without installing anything. It requires Fabric API.
Key features
Lava and water reactions
Configurable rules decide which block lava produces when it meets water, ice or other blocks, and which block it turns into.
Renewable ore generation
Stone and cobblestone formed deep underground can be swapped for ore blocks, so ores appear in a world without being used up.
Deepslate and netherrack rules
Separate options cover deepslate below a set height and netherrack, each with its own ore replacements.
Custom generators
Behavior can be extended through datapacks, with an example project available in the source repository under its examples folder.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to change ore generation and lava reactions, and datapack authors who build custom generators. Only the server needs the mod, and the feature options can be switched individually in the configuration file.
How it compares
LavaWaterOrest is a client and server mod for Fabric under the MIT License, published for 1.21.10 – 1.21.11 and not open source. Gitdunk's Mining Dimension is also a Fabric client and server mod under the MIT License, open source and published for 1.18 – 1.18.2. Flowstone is server-side only and open source, so only the server needs it.

What the author says
Flowstone makes ores renewable resources by modifying what blocks Lava turns into whenever it meets Water (or, in some cases, a block of Blue Ice). (In the GIF, I configured Flowstone to always generate some ore instead of Stone, for example purposes. See below for details.)
