Fishing Paradise

by BogdanValentin977

Anglers on Fabric who want more from a fishing rod will find Fishing Paradise adds a range of catchable fish, legendary creatures and dishes cooked from the catch, all tied to the rod.

What it does

Fishing Paradise adds catchable fish, legendary creatures and treasure to the fishing system. Ordinary fish are the common catch, while legendary creatures and a treasure trove appear less often.

Fish can be cooked in a furnace, smoker or campfire into meals that restore hunger. Eating a legendary creature grants a unique effect such as Night Vision, Strength or Speed for a set time. The cooked dishes are Fish Fillets, Cooked Fish Fillets and Fish Chips. Installation covers the server and each player's game.

Fishing Paradise is published for Fabric only, with 13 release versions 1.20 – 26.3, and the latest file is 1.2 for 26.3. Its source code and issue tracker are public, but the mod is licensed as All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Catchable fish and legends

The rod can reel in many fish species, and rare legendary creatures sit among them as a separate catch.

  2. Rod durability and junk

Junk items are caught at a 25% rate on one rod setting and 5% on another, while the rod lasts 64 or 128 uses.

  3. Fish dishes

Fish Fillets, Cooked Fish Fillets and Fish Chips turn the catch into food for longer adventures.

  4. Legendary effects

Eating a legendary creature grants a timed effect such as Night Vision, Strength or Speed.
