Fire Starter
Fire Starter gives players a hand-crafted tool for lighting fires, with wood and flint versions that work by right-clicking.
What it does
Fire Starter adds two tools for early game fire lighting. A wood fire starter is crafted from two sticks with no fixed shape, and a flint fire starter is crafted from two flint. Right-clicking a block with either tool has a chance to set a fire: about one in four with the wood version and one in two with the flint version. The tools are deliberately inefficient, so they suit the first stages of a survival world rather than long-term use.
The mod also covers smelting. Smeltable resources can be processed, and a copper nugget and a craftable copper ingot join the item list. Fire Starter runs on Fabric in the 1.21.1 – 1.21.3 range, with files for 1.21.1, 1.21.2 and 1.21.3, and it is released under the MIT License. It is not open source. Both sides need it, so servers and every player install the mod.
