Fill My Cauldron

by Meshiest

Fill My Cauldron lets dispensers move fluids between buckets and cauldrons, so a cauldron can be filled or emptied without a player present.

FabricServer-side onlyCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen source1.21 – 26.2

What it does

Dispensers gain bucket interactions with cauldrons. A dispenser holding an empty bucket pointed at a full cauldron takes the fluid out and fills the bucket. A dispenser holding a full bucket pointed at an empty cauldron places the fluid inside. Lava can also be removed from a cauldron with a bucket through a dispenser, which the author describes as a long-requested behavior.

The same dispenser behavior covers water bottles, which work with cauldrons without a bucket, while water buckets and powder snow buckets are handled as non-fluid cases. Fluid can be put in from either a bucket or a cauldron, and the two directions work together. The author describes the mod as a server mod that adds these dispenser behaviors. Fill My Cauldron needs Fabric API and is server-side only, so players join without installing it. It is published for Fabric only, across five release versions 1.21 – 26.2, with snapshot builds also published. The mod is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license.
