Faster Copper Golem

by PixelIndieDev

Faster Copper Golem speeds up how quickly copper golems move, pick up and drop off items, with settings for carry size, search radius and chest checks.

FabricClient or server, optionalGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.21.9 – 26.3

What it does

Copper golems in vanilla wait 60 ticks for each interaction. This mod sets the default to 30 ticks, and the interaction time can be changed in the config. Animations speed up in step with the interaction speed, so the golem's work looks faster as well as being faster.

The mod exposes several settings for copper golems: how many items a golem carries in one trip, how far it scans for chests, how many chests it checks before handing over items, and how fast it walks between them. Each value is set in the config, so a server owner can tune the behavior for a single world or a shared server. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and it requires Fabric API. LazyAI and Mod Menu are optional and add integration when present. It is published for Fabric and covers game versions 1.21.9 – 26.3, with 1.0.2 for 26.3 as the latest file.

Key features

  1. Faster interaction time

The pick-up and drop-off delay is configurable, with a default of 30 ticks instead of the vanilla 60.

  2. Carry size setting

The number of items a copper golem carries per trip can be raised or lowered in the config.

  3. Search radius setting

The distance a golem scans for chests can be adjusted, which controls how far it roams for storage.

  4. Movement speed setting

The walking speed of copper golems between chests can be changed to suit the layout of a storage area.

  5. Chest check limit

A maximum number of chests to check before a golem delivers items can be set, limiting how long a trip takes.
