FacePop gives players an expression bubble for quick messages, so a short emote can be sent without typing or voice chat.
What it does
Some moments in a multiplayer game call for a short reply that would take too long to type, and voice is not always available. FacePop adds a second channel for that: a player picks an expression and sends it to others. Pressing G opens the main interface of the mod, and Ctrl + G opens the expression settings screen.
Expressions are organized into expression packs. Each pack holds a set of faces, and each pack has a default attribute that shows whether its contents are available from the start. Packs are stored as data under the data/[modid]/facepop/facebag folder, and the face textures live in assets/[modid]/textures/faces. A command lets an operator grant a given pack to a specified player. The mod is published for Forge only, for 1.20.1, and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source.
