Extra Levels is a datapack that raises the maximum level of vanilla enchantments and lowers the cost of higher levels.

What it does

The datapack doubles the maximum level of vanilla enchantments and reduces the per-level cost growth, so high-level enchantments become cheaper to obtain. It is a simple datapack that changes enchanting without adding new items or blocks. The server must run it, while players may leave it out. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with the latest file for 1.21.5, under the MIT License, which is not open source.

    Vanilla enchantments can reach double their usual maximum level.

  2. Cheaper high levels

    The cost added for each extra level grows more slowly, so higher levels cost less experience.
