eXc BetterInfo

by eXcPassi

eXc BetterInfo puts food saturation, extra health and effect timers on the HUD, data that Minecraft normally keeps hidden.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.11

What it does

Minecraft does not show food saturation, the exact length of a status effect or the layers of extra health. eXc BetterInfo draws those details onto the client-side HUD. Saturation appears as a gold outline on the hunger drumsticks, overflowing health is colour-coded, and absorption gets its own row. Holding a food item previews how much hunger and saturation it would restore, and the item tooltip lists exact values while a key is held.

The mod is a lightweight Fabric client mod for Minecraft 1.21.11, released under the MIT License and not open source. It is a client-side only mod, so the server does not need it and players join without installing anything. Its changes are purely visual and do not alter gameplay. No required dependency is listed for Fabric.

Key features

  1. Hidden saturation

The gold outline on the hunger bar reveals saturation values that the default interface leaves out.

  2. Overflowing health display

Extra health beyond the normal heart rows is shown as a colour-coded layer that cycles through ten colours.

  3. Effect countdown

Each status effect icon shows its remaining time as M:SS, and effects with infinite duration are marked as such.

  4. Held-food preview

Holding a food item shows the hunger and saturation it would restore before it is eaten.

Use cases

Planning meals

Players who want to know how much saturation a food restores before eating can read it from the hunger bar or the held-food preview.

Tracking potions

Players timing a brewed effect can read its remaining duration from the icon without opening the inventory.

Who it’s for: Players who want more detail on the HUD, mainly survival players who track food and status effects. Server owners do not need to install anything.
