EverLoad

by Brodino

EverLoad lets modpack creators push changes to scripts, assets and settings without requiring players to update their client.

What it does

A modpack creator can apply changes to scripts, assets and configuration files while the game is running, and players receive them without installing a new client build. The mod targets modpacks that need to adjust content after release. Files are published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.19.2, with 1.2.0 as the latest file dated 2026-04-21. Servers do not need it; each player installs it for their own game.

The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source, and its source code, issue tracker and wiki are public. Because it runs only on the client, a server can run without it. Players who join a server running other content keep their installed client build and receive the hot-loaded changes on top of it.

Data handling is described in the mod's privacy notes. The mod itself collects, stores and transmits personal data about users. Connecting to a hosting service can automatically share technical information such as an IP address. That traffic is part of normal internet communication with the hosting service. The hosting provider processes the data solely under its own privacy policy, and the mod uses external resources loaded from third-party services.

Key features

  1. Hot-loaded script changes

Changes to scripts and assets can be pushed to players while the game is running.

  2. Config updates without a client update

Settings in several configuration files can be changed remotely, so players do not need a new client build for each adjustment.

  3. Modpack synchronization

The mod keeps the modpack's content in step with the creator's latest published changes.

How it compares

Full comparison

DFScript is a Fabric, client-side only mod under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, published for 1.19 – 1.20.4, so its version range overlaps EverLoad only partly. KubeJS ItemPhysics runs on the server, is also open source under the MIT License and targets 1.19.2 alone. KubeVS is open source under the Apache License 2.0, works on either side for 1.18.2 – 1.20.1 and loads on Fabric and Forge.
