DFScript

by TechStreet

DFScript, a Fabric client mod by TechStreet, lets players write and manage custom in-game scripts through a menu.

FabricClient-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.19 – 1.20.4

What it does

DFScript allows custom scripting inside the game. Scripts are created from a menu, opened with a button in the top left, and listed with the scripts installed on the client. A player can add a script by browsing scripts that others have created, or write a new one by naming it and then editing its code blocks. Edit mode opens a menu where code blocks are added, changed, or removed, and a short description and configuration options can be attached to each script.

The mod was created by DiamondFire to make scripting possible on the client, and it is a separation and improvement of the CodeUtilities mod. It is client-side only, so only the player's client needs it. The code is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source. Files are published for Fabric, with nine release versions 1.19 – 1.20.4, and the latest Fabric file is 97 for 1.20.4, dated 2024-05-21.

Key features

  1. Script list menu

The menu lists installed scripts, with a color marker showing which are running and which are switched off.

  2. Toggle, edit, upload and delete

Each script can be switched off, edited, uploaded for others to install, or deleted permanently.

  3. Code block editing

Right-clicking in the editor brings up a small menu for adding or removing code blocks in a script.

  4. Shared scripts

Scripts can be uploaded so that other players who install the mod can add and run them.
