EventsLib
by STS15
EventsLib, a NeoForge library by STS15, adds event listeners that vanilla NeoForge leaves out, so other mods can react to moments the base game does not expose.
What it does
Some mods need more specific hooks than the standard events provide. EventsLib supplies those missing listeners, and a mod that depends on it can react to effect and item activity it could not otherwise reach. It is intended for use alongside mods that require the extra events, and players usually have no direct use for it on its own.
The library adds a MobEffectTickEvent, which gives a modder an interface to read the percentage of duration left on an effect, along with the effect, its instance and the entity it applies to. It also adds a method that runs once when an effect wears off. The mod runs on client and server, so both sides need it. Files are released for NeoForge only, across six game versions, with 1.0.56 for 1.21.5 as the latest file, and the code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Missing event listeners
Listeners for events that NeoForge does not fire are added, so dependent mods can hook into them.
Mob effect tick event
A MobEffectTickEvent exposes the remaining duration of an effect as a percentage, with the effect, instance and entity.
Effect expiry callback
A method runs once when an effect wears off, letting a mod act at the exact moment the effect ends.
Attribute removal support
Talisman logic can remove attributes from a player on a pedestal without running a per-tick check.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Mod developers who need effect timing or missing NeoForge events, and players who run a mod that requires EventsLib. Plain players without such a mod have no need for it.
How it compares
Brea Horiz is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 under the MIT License, running on client and server, so it covers a single version where EventsLib covers a six-version span. Triggers is open source under the MIT License and supports Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, but it is server-side only, so players join without installing it. Iceberg reaches 1.16.5 – 26.3 on three loaders, yet it is not open source and is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0.
