Enhanced Arsenal
Enhanced Arsenal adds swords, armor and tools made from obsidian, emerald, copper, amethyst and glass, plus knives, for Forge and NeoForge.
What it does
Each material gets its own set of equipment. Obsidian pieces have one of the highest durability values in the game, behind only the strongest vanilla options, and are harder to craft. Emerald armor offers protection and durability close to diamond armor, and wearing it can lower villager prices. Copper equipment is lighter in use than the stone tools it replaces, and copper ore drops only a single piece, which keeps it scarce.
Amethyst armor matches diamond armor in protection and durability, and glass equipment is the weakest of the set: its durability is low, and a full glass armor set makes the wearer nearly invisible. Glass tools have a chance to cause bleeding on a mob hit. Knives deal less damage than swords but swing quickly. The author plans later updates with more tools and knives, and a future obsidian armor change that adds fire and blast resistance.
Either side can run Enhanced Arsenal, and neither needs it. Files are published for 1.16.5, 1.19.2, 1.19.4, 1.20.1 and 1.20.6, under a custom license that is not open source. The mod is marked as discontinued by its author and is in beta.
