End Respawn Anchor

by Mikndesu

End Respawn Anchor lets a player spawn in the End after entering through the exit portal, once a respawn point is set in the Overworld.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.18.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

Minecraft normally sets a respawn position in the Overworld, so an exit portal used from the End tends to send a player back to that spot. The mod remembers the respawn position set before the End was entered and uses it, so the player can spawn in the End after using the exit portal. The behavior can be turned off in the configuration. The mod requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API, runs on client and server, and is released under the MIT License as open source. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 1.18.1 – 1.21.4.

Key features

  1. End respawn point

A player who has entered the End can spawn there again after dying, through the exit portal path.

  2. Remembered respawn position

The respawn position set before the End is stored, so it is restored when the End respawn is used.

  3. Configurable behavior

The feature can be disabled in the configuration file, returning the vanilla respawn behavior.

What the author says

Minecraft lets you spawn where respawn position has been set. Therefore, you'll spawn in the End when using exit portal in attempting to teleport to the Overworld. This is quite contrary to our expectatoins where exit portal moves you out of the End. In order to avoid this problem, this mod remembers where your…
