EnchantmentControl
by Nischhelm
EnchantmentControl gives server owners and modpack authors control over vanilla and modded enchantments, through configuration files written on first startup.
What it does
On first startup the mod scans the enchantments that are loaded and writes a configuration file for each one. Those files set whether an enchantment is registered, its minimum and maximum level, its rarity, and whether it can appear as treasure, in the enchanting table, from librarians or in loot. Incompatibilities between enchantments are also listed, and the mod uses them to calculate groups of enchantments that conflict with one another, following the compatibility rules given in the files. It also infers which item types each enchantment can go on.
The mod can give enchantments the behavior of vanilla systems, so a new enchantment can become stronger in the same way respiration or sweeping edge are. Custom rarities can be created, and the curse status of an enchantment can be set. Because the mod works from the enchantment properties it finds, its settings apply to vanilla and modded enchantments alike. The mod is for Forge and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. FermiumBooter is required. Files exist for 1.12.2 only, with 1.3.0.1 as the latest file, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Per-enchantment settings
Each enchantment gets a configuration entry covering its registry status, level range, rarity and where it can be found.
Incompatibility groups
Conflicting enchantments are grouped from the compatibility rules, so enchantments that cannot coexist are kept apart.
Vanilla-style behavior
New enchantments can be given the same effects as vanilla systems, such as stronger respiration or sweeping edge.
ContentTweaker integration
Adds methods to ContentTweaker's EnchantmentBuilder so custom enchantments can be created with ZenScript scripts.
Access to enchantment data
The CT compatibility layer exposes vanilla EnchantmentHelper methods and information about enchantments on entities.
