EmoteSounds

by toolsfog

EmoteSounds, a client-side addon for Emotecraft, attaches a sound to each emote so that a chosen audio clip plays when the emote is performed.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License26.2

What it does

Emote sounds are set up by placing a .wav audio file in the emotes folder under a name that matches the emote named in its .json file. Once the file is in the right place, the sound plays each time that emote is used. The volume of each sound can be adjusted with an emotevolume value written as a decimal number between the minimum and maximum of the scale.

The mod runs on Fabric for game version 26.2 only, and the required Melody library must be installed beside it. Because it is a client-side addon, only the player's game needs it, so servers can run without it and players join without any extra install. The code is released under the MIT License, and the project is not open source.

Instructions are included in English and in Russian. The files that make up a sound pack use the .wav and .json formats, and the audio files must sit in the root of the emotes folder for the game to find them.

Key features

  1. Emote-linked sounds

A .wav file named after an emote plays whenever that emote is performed, adding audio to the animation.

  2. Per-emote volume

An emotevolume decimal setting controls how loud each emote sound plays, within a fixed scale.

  3. Json-based naming

Each emote is identified by the name stated in its .json file, which links the audio file to the right animation.

  4. Bilingual instructions

Setup instructions are provided in English and Russian, covering file placement and volume settings.
