Elytra Bar HUD shows how much durability an elytra has left as a simple overlay, so players can check it without opening the inventory.
What it does
While an elytra is worn, a small overlay appears on the screen with its remaining durability. Players can see when the glider is close to breaking during a long flight, which helps avoid losing it in a fall. The overlay can be displayed as a bar, as icons, or as a mix of both, and the look is set in the config file.
The HUD is client-side only, so only the player's game needs it and servers run vanilla without it. Subtle animations play when the elytra takes damage or is repaired. Files are published for NeoForge 1.21 and 1.21.1, and the latest file, 6.0, covers 1.21.1. The mod works with Elytra Slot as an optional companion, and the source code is available under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, making it open source.
