Eli's Immersive Navigation
Eli's Immersive Navigation replaces the coordinate readout with in-game navigation tools for players who want to find their way without the F3 screen.
What it does
The mod hides the F3 coordinates in survival and offers configurable navigation tools in their place. A vanilla compass is modified so it always points north, and either tool can be shown in the inventory or as an extra HUD element that reports position, altitude relative to sea level and the time. Precision is configurable, so the readings can be set to a coarser or finer style.
Players can also build in-world landmarks to mark routes and places, which makes it possible to navigate by reference points rather than numbers, and to get properly lost on purpose. Eli's Immersive Navigation runs on Fabric and needs to be installed on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover eleven release versions, and the mod is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, making it open source.
Key features
Replaced coordinates
Coordinates are no longer shown by default; players read position through the new navigation tools instead.
Altitude readings
The tools report how many meters the player is above or below sea level, so height is still known.
Modified compass
The vanilla compass is changed so its needle always points north, regardless of the player's facing.
In-world landmarks
Landmarks can be placed in the world to mark routes and destinations, giving a navigation aid without a map.

Use cases
Survival without F3
Players who prefer to find their way by landmarks and a fixed compass can play without the coordinate screen.
Who it’s for: Players who want navigation based on landmarks and in-game tools rather than the F3 coordinate screen, and server owners who want that style of play on a shared server.
How it compares
Better Compass is a Fabric client-side only mod for 1.21.1 under the MIT License and is not open source, so only the client needs it. CoordsCompass is also client-side only for Fabric, covers 1.21 – 1.21.10 and is released under All rights reserved. Eli's Immersive Navigation differs by being client and server, and by being open source under the GNU GPL v3.0 only.

What the author says
Tired of relying on the ugly f3 menu to know where you are? Worry not! This mod hides f3 coordinates in survival (configurable), and adds some new tools that help you navigate. When you have either tool in your inventory there is an additional hud element showing their readings at all time.
