Elementelum adds elemental weapons in tiers, forged through a minigame and upgraded with data-driven augments.

What it does

Elementelum adds elemental weapons that come in several tiers, with each higher tier gaining more abilities than the one before. Weapons are made through a forging system, where the player hits highlighted parts of a forging minigame, and augments can be applied and removed on an item. The augment system is data-driven, so new augments can be defined without changing the mod's code, and stats of weapons and augments can be configured.

Abilities that use mana work with Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, which is built in to the mod. Augments are added through the Esoteric Anvil, and their description text is set by a function in the elementelum:augment/desc function tag. Item modifiers, custom item data and enchantments with a set id are the building blocks used to create custom augments.

Elementelum is for the mod's own content and for server owners who want to customize weapons. Server owners can change base damage and other values, though finding an item's internal id and the value to edit takes some work with commands and scoreboards. Vred's DP Lib is required. The server requires the mod and players may add it for extra features. Files exist for 1.21 and 1.21.1, and the latest build for 1.21.1 is 0.1.6.1, released on 2026-03-20. The code is all rights reserved and not open source.

Key features

  1. Elemental weapon tiers

Weapons come in tiers, and each tier adds abilities the previous one lacks.

  2. Forging minigame

Weapons are forged by hitting the yellow and red parts of a timed minigame, which determines the result.

  3. Data-driven augments

Augments are defined through data, with configurable effects and up to three item modifiers each.

  4. Configurable stats

Stats of weapons and augments can be changed in the config, and item values can be edited with commands.

  5. Mana-based abilities

Abilities that use mana are built in to work with Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks.
