Eggstra adds fried eggs, Golden Eggs and Golden Cakes to Minecraft Java Edition 1.19 on Fabric and Forge, and the tomrom mod is a small food addition.
What it does
Eggstra lets eggs be cooked in a furnace, a smoker or a campfire, producing fried eggs that restore 4 of the 20 hunger points. Fried eggs are available early in a survival world, but they stack only to 16 and restore less than many later foods. Golden Eggs are a rare variant: chickens occasionally lay one in place of a normal egg, and chickens affected by the Strength effect lay tougher eggs with a higher chance. A Golden Egg breaks when it hits a block or a mob, revealing its contents and dropping a larger amount of items.
Golden Cakes are baked with a Golden Egg and cocoa beans, using a recipe similar to the normal cake, and candles can be placed on them. Eating a slice restores 6 hunger points and grants an Absorption effect that lasts 3 minutes, and the effect stacks up to 5 times for 10 extra Gold Hearts. Villagers with the farmer profession can sell Golden Cakes at a high level, and a Cleric trades a Golden Egg for 8 Emerald Blocks. Loot from Golden Eggs can be changed through a datapack by editing a loot table file, and a music disc can be found inside one.
Eggstra needs Fabric API on Fabric. It is installed on both the client and the server, and it is published for 1.19 only, with the license Apache License 2.0 covering its source code.
