Early Craftable Elytra gives players a crafting recipe for the Elytra, so flight no longer depends on finding an End City.

What it does

The mod adds a crafting recipe for the Elytra made from four Phantom Membranes, one Iron Ingot and two Feathers, arranged on a crafting table. Phantom Membranes come from defeating Phantoms at night, Feathers from chickens, and the Iron Ingot from ordinary mining and smelting. Once crafted, the Elytra behaves like the vanilla item, so players can glide, fly acrobatic routes and pair it with rockets for quick travel.

The recipe is meant to keep the time and effort of the Elytra in line with survival play. Phantom Membranes stand for the lightweight wing structure, Feathers reinforce the link to flight, and the Iron Ingot supplies structure without needing late-game resources. Server owners who run multiplayer servers or modpacks can use it to reduce the difficulty of obtaining flight, and the mod needs to be on the server, while players may add it on their own clients. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.21 – 1.21.11 with 12 release versions.
