Dungeon defense
Dungeon defense lets players build dungeons that other players then explore, with traps, monsters and a loot funneler powered by souls.
What it does
The mod adds many technology parts, monsters and traps that players place inside a dungeon they design. Traps include spike traps, flamethrowers, fragile bricks, boulder traps and a sawblade launcher. Machines run on souls, and the loot funneler is one of them: once it is powered with souls and linked to a chest, it keeps filling that chest with dungeon loot until its souls run out, so a dungeon can be restocked for as long as souls last.
The main goal is for one player to build a dungeon that others then enter, fight through and loot. The mod is marked as surviving-friendly and complex, with new mechanics and items that suit survival worlds. Client and server both need it, and it is published for Forge only, for 1.20.1. The code is closed: the license is All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
Key features
Dungeon traps
Spike traps, flamethrowers, fragile bricks, boulder traps and a sawblade launcher can be placed to defend a dungeon.
Loot funneler
Once powered with souls and linked to a chest, the loot funneler keeps supplying dungeon loot until its souls are used up.
Soul-powered machines
Souls serve as the power source for a range of machines, which ties the trap and loot systems together.
Player-built dungeons
Players design dungeons for others to explore, so each build can be different and repeated many times.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Multiplayer dungeon runs
One player builds a dungeon and others on the same server enter it to fight traps and collect loot.
Survival progression
Machines and traps are added to the survival mechanics, giving players new systems to build over a world.
Who it’s for: Players who enjoy building challenge areas for others, and server groups that want a repeatable dungeon loop. Both client and server need the mod, since the traps and machines run on the server side.
How it compares
