droprandomizer
by spiroclainos
Breaking a block in droprandomizer can yield a random item from a pool built for each world, so the same block may drop something different from one world to the next.
What it does
The mod replaces the normal drop of a broken block with a randomized one. The item each block type maps to comes from a mapping tied to the world's seed, so two worlds created with different seeds assign different items to the same blocks, and two worlds sharing a seed play the same way. Occasionally a broken block spills the full contents of a structure chest, with loot pulled from the game's own loot tables. Rare breaks can produce a complete set of random vanilla loot instead of a single item.
Drops are filtered so that items obtainable only in creative mode, such as barriers, light blocks, command blocks and spawn eggs, are left out of the pool. The pool contains only real, usable items, and each one appears once. Drop behavior is controlled by a config file. The server decides drops, so the mod works in single-player and on servers. The mod requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API, and runs on Minecraft 26.1.2. Files are published for Fabric only, with builds for 18 release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.1.2, and the latest file is 1.0.3 for 26.1.2, released on 2026-06-15. The code is public, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Random block drops
Breaking a block cancels its normal drop and gives a randomized item from the world's pool instead.
Seed-based mapping
Each block type is mapped to a random item according to the world seed, so worlds differ and seeds can be shared.
Chest loot spills
Some breaks release the entire contents of a structure chest, drawn from the game's own loot tables.
Creative-only items removed
Barriers, light blocks, command blocks and spawn eggs are excluded so the pool holds only obtainable items.

What the author says
Break a block. Get something completely different. Random Drops turns every block in the world into a mystery box. Mine a dirt block and you might get a netherite sword. Chop some leaves and out pops a diamond. Punch stone and... who knows? Every block type is secretly mapped to its own random item — and that mapping…
