DragN's Deadly Dinos is a Forge mob mod for 1.18.2 that brings tamable dinosaurs, prehistoric predators and a post-apocalyptic survival setting into the game.
What it does
The setting places the player in 2071, after disease and an ecological disaster known as Project 3000 have destroyed most of the human population and left prehistoric predators roaming the land. Survival means fending off carnivores, scavenging resources and staying alive while new dinosaur species are discovered.
Several dinosaurs can be tamed and ridden, among them Allosaurus, Baryonyx, Ceratosaurus, Triceratops and Iguanodon. Armor and weapons are crafted from bones taken from prehistoric beasts the player has defeated, and reinforced blocks help keep a base protected.
Servers that run it need every player to install it too. It is published for Forge only, with the 2.3.2 file for 1.18.2 as the latest release, and it is not open source: the code is under All rights reserved. Source code and a wiki are linked from the project.
Key features
Tamable and rideable dinosaurs
Allosaurus, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus and about ten other species can be tamed and then ridden.
Bone-based equipment
Armor and weapons are crafted from bones of the dinosaurs the player has defeated.
Reinforced base blocks
New blocks and tools support base building and protect the player's shelter against attacks.
Dinosaur models and art
The author is reworking item art, dinosaur models, textures and animations to match Minecraft more closely, along with bug fixes.
