Don't Wait Up
by paden.gentry
On a server running Don't Wait Up, one player lying down in bed is enough to skip the night for everyone.
What it does
Normally a night only ends once the sleep requirement is met by the players in bed, which can leave a server waiting on slow or AFK players. Don't Wait Up changes that check so that a single sleeping player starts the skip. When the server detects nighttime and a player is in bed, the time is set forward to 1000 ticks, the start of the next day, and every online player receives a message saying the night was skipped.
The change applies only to the night portion of the cycle, between 13000 and 23000 ticks, so players can still sleep during the day without the time moving. Because the mod is server-side only, players join a server that runs it without installing anything. Fabric Language Kotlin is required, and the files are for 1.21.1 only, published under the CC0 1.0 Universal license as open source.
Key features
Single-player night skip
One player in bed is enough to advance the time to the next morning, even when the others are still awake.
Day sleeping unchanged
Beds still work during the day, and sleeping then does not move the clock.
Broadcast message
All players on the server are told when the night has been skipped, so nobody is surprised by the new day.
Fixed skip target
The time is set to 1000 ticks, which keeps the skip predictable across the server.

Use cases
Small friend servers
A group of players who want to go to sleep without waiting for each other can finish the night with one bed.
Busy multiplayer servers
On a server with many players, a single sleeper can keep the day cycle moving without a vote or a full sleep count.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want night progression to depend on one player rather than on everyone sleeping, and players who join such servers.
