Divine Relics
by DERIYS
Divine Relics is a Forge adventure mod for 1.19.2 that brings God War themed content to Minecraft, centered on the Norse pantheon of the last two games.
What it does
Players who explore the world can uncover hidden structures, ancient dungeons and new ores, which in turn open new tool tiers. The mod adds legendary weapons and relics that come with new combat mechanics, and encounters with formidable enemies and epic boss fights whose mobs use custom animations. The content leans toward challenge, skill and strategy rather than extended gameplay.
On spawning in a world, a player receives a guidebook. Its pages introduce the contents, and as the adventure progresses, new information and notes are revealed, leading toward the legendary relics. A command can grant the achievements and reveal the full guidebook at once, so every feature can be read about from the start. A detailed config file covers many aspects of the mod and allows customization by server owners and players.
Divine Relics requires Geckolib and Patchouli. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Geckolib is needed for the mob animations, and players who use shaders through Oculus must also install Iris/Oculus GeckoLib Compat, or the animations will not show. The code is under the MIT License and the project is open source; it is published for Forge only, in 1.19.2 builds.
Key features
God War content
Mythology from the God War games is the basis of the relics, weapons and bosses that the mod adds.
Legendary weapons and relics
Weapons and relics carry new combat mechanics, and each relic is found through progression rather than given at once.
Custom structures and ores
Hidden structures and ancient dungeons hold rare, long-forgotten ores that can be mined to craft new tool tiers.
Boss fights with animations
Bosses and mobs have custom animations, built on the Geckolib library.
Guidebook with lore
A guidebook given on spawn holds pages on the contents and explains the lore, revealing more as progress is made.
