Disabler
by waterflane
Disabler lets server owners switch off chosen mob spawns, structures and biome features during world generation, without touching other content.
What it does
Server owners can turn off mob spawning, whole structure types, and custom mob spawn overrides for selected biomes. The mod also removes mobs from biome spawn lists, cancels spawn attempts while the game is running, and can exclude specific biomes from world generation. Land and water replacements are kept intact, so terrain is not affected beyond the features chosen.
Compatibility handling for Alex's Caves covers its cave biome generation paths. Settings are read from a config file, so the same choices can be applied again on a new world. The mod is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 and the latest build dated 2026-06-30.
Disabler is installed only on the server, and players join without any file of their own. Source code and an issue tracker are public.

Use cases
Trimming a survival world
A server owner removes unwanted mobs from a biome or drops a structure type before players explore the new world.
Custom biome setups
Excluding biomes or overriding mob spawns lets a modpack keep a chosen set of features and leave others out.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to control world generation and mob spawning on their server, typically before a world is created.
