Destroying MC
by SpacePotato
Destroying MC is a Fabric content mod that adds five cinematic destruction events, ending the world in a scripted sequence of planets, black holes and supernovae.
What it does
Five events play out in the world, each staged as a short scene. The events are tied to a set of place-based zones and a custom entity, so the sequence follows fixed steps rather than random spawns. The author describes the content as a showpiece, built around the look of the sequence and not around survival mechanics.
The mod runs on the client and on the server, so the server and every player need it installed. Its only dependency beyond Fabric is Veil, which is already bundled in the package and does not need a separate install. The mod is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.1, as a beta file dated 2025-10-01. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, though the author has made the source code public.
Mod Menu and Sodium are optional. Sodium is supported, while Iris shaders are not expected to work with the mod. The author says the mod is shader heavy and is not expected to run well on a laptop, so a dedicated GPU is advised. Dedicated servers may not run the mod correctly.
Key features
Five destruction events
Each event unfolds as a staged scene that replaces the normal world state until it is reset.
Entity spawning
A custom entity can be summoned with a command, and the supernova needs one nearby to begin.
Event reset command
The /destruction reset command ends the current event so the sequence can be run again.
Play zones
Dedicated play zones host the scripted scenes, including the opening of the black hole.

Single-player sandbox
A solo player can trigger the events and reset them with the command between takes.
Who it’s for: Players who want a content-focused world for cinematic destruction scenes, and who have a capable PC for shader-heavy rendering. The author notes that the mod is not a survival addition and will contain bugs that are not planned for fixing.

What the author says
This is a Content Mod and as such will contain a lot of bugs. Most of which will not be fixed. If you're not using this mod for content, then it really won't serve you much purpose This mod is VERY shader heavy so you need a good pc, likely with a dedicated GPU, to run this. Please don't expect the mod to run well on…
