Descriptor shows short explanations for potion effects inside item tooltips, so hovering over an effect in the inventory displays what it does.

What it does

Hovering over a potion or a mob effect in the inventory brings up a tooltip with a description of the effect. The descriptions cover potion effects only, and the mod is a small client-side addition that adds text without changing gameplay.

In-game settings open through Mod Menu when YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) is also present; without them the options stay at their defaults. Custom MobEffects can get descriptions by adding entries to a language file. Descriptor requires Fabric API and is published for Fabric alone, for game versions 26.1 – 26.3, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later as open source code.
