Deft Auto Eat

by Deft710

Deft Auto Eat is a Fabric food mod that eats for the player when hunger drops, so mining and building are not interrupted.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.1 – 1.21.9

What it does

When the hunger bar falls below a set threshold, the client picks a food from the inventory and eats it without any input. Selection follows nutrition and saturation preferences, and a blacklist keeps items such as rotten flesh out of the choice. Players can toggle the behavior with the H key, and it works out of the box with no setup.

An optional setting pauses eating during combat. Deft Auto Eat requires Fabric API and is released under the MIT License, though it is not open source. It runs on the client only, and files are published for 1.21.1 – 1.21.9 with 1.0.0 for 1.21.9 as the latest.

Key features

  1. Hunger-based auto eating

Eating starts once hunger reaches a configurable threshold, so long sessions do not stall for food.

  2. Nutrition-aware food choice

The mod ranks foods by nutrition and saturation preferences and skips anything on its blacklist.

  3. Container and block safety

Right-clicks on storage, crafting and interactive blocks are avoided, so the mod never opens a menu by accident.

  4. Combat pause option

An optional setting prevents eating while a fight is underway, and server synchronization keeps inventory state consistent in multiplayer.
