Dagger Enchantments

by sebostjanporeiro

Dagger Enchantments adds magical enchantments that work only on daggers, aimed at fast melee combat and stealthy play on Forge.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.20.4

What it does

Daggers are light, quick weapons with lower base damage, so their strength comes from enchantments. Most of these enchantments are rare and turn up as books found while exploring, and they cannot be crafted or taken from the enchanting table. The mod rewards mobility, timing and positioning rather than brute force, and several lightweight daggers and an endgame weapon, the Ethereal Dagger, are built around enchantment synergy.

The mod runs on Forge for 1.20.1 – 1.20.4 and needs both the server and every player to have it installed, because it is a client and server mod. Dagger Enchantments is not open source and is licensed as All rights reserved. Four release versions cover the range, and the latest file, 1.1.1, targets 1.20.4.

Key features

  1. Dagger-only enchantments

Enchantments introduced by the mod cannot be applied to vanilla weapons, only to daggers.

  2. Poison and status effects

Some enchantments give a chance to poison a target on hit, or to apply Weakness, Slowness and Mining Fatigue to enemies.

  3. Bonus damage against certain targets

Enchantments add extra damage against hostile mobs, high-health enemies and low-health enemies.

  4. Stealth and mobility effects

A chance to grant brief invisibility or speed when attacking supports quick hit-and-run play.

Use cases

Dungeon and exploration combat

Players who explore dungeons use enchanted daggers to deal steady damage to monsters while staying mobile.

Stealth-style play

Invisibility, speed and status effects suit players who prefer striking first and avoiding direct fights.

Who it’s for: Players who enjoy fast melee combat and want enchantments that reward exploration. Server owners who want a weapon progression that adds to vanilla combat may also consider it.
