Cutscene Engine
Cutscene Engine lets creators build cinematic camera sequences inside the game, with keypoints, smooth motion and a preview, all without external tools.
What it does
Camera points are placed directly in the game, and the mod interpolates motion between them so the path moves smoothly. Each keypoint can have its own duration, with a default of 10 ticks, and a preview shows the result before a scene is played. While a cutscene runs, a spectator-style mode takes over the player's camera, and the saved position and game mode are restored when it ends.
Scripted scenes suit scenario-driven servers and campaign builds. Only the server has to run the mod for scenes to play, and players may skip installing it. Cutscene Engine lists the BlockBuster engine and the NPCs engine as optional companions, and it is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Files cover 1.21.6 – 26.1.2 across nine release versions, with 26.1.2 as the latest build, and the code is not open source under All rights reserved.
Key features
Camera keypoints
Camera points are added along a path directly in the game, so a scene can be shaped without leaving the world.
Motion interpolation
Transitions between keypoints are generated automatically, giving smooth movement along the camera path.
Duration control
Each keypoint has an adjustable duration, with 10 ticks as the default value.
Spectator camera control
A spectator-style mode takes control of the player's camera during a cutscene, then restores the saved state afterward.
Mouse wheel interface
Controls respond to the mouse wheel and right-click, so editing a path does not require menus or commands.

How it compares
Cutscene API is an MIT-licensed open source library for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.20 – 1.21.4, and it runs on both client and server. Lumiera is also available for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.20.1 – 26.1.2, with a custom license that is not open source and an environment where either side may run it. easy-cutscene is a Fabric-only, server-side mod for 1.21.4 under All rights reserved, so players need nothing installed.
