Marshlaw's Custom Armors
by Marshlaw
Marshlaw's Custom Armors adds more than 50 armor sets made from blocks and materials, from wood logs and planks to snow, melon and bedrock.
What it does
Each armor set is named after the block or material it is made from, such as Oak Log Armor, Spruce Planks Armor, Snow Armor or Deepslate Armor. Several sets add special abilities: Magma Armor, Bedrock Armor, Slime Block Armor, Command Block Armor and Jack'o Lantern Armor each change how the wearer behaves. Glass and wool sets come in several colors.
The mod is built for survival play and fun, and its balance is deliberately uneven, so some sets are much stronger than others. It is made with MCreator. Installation needs only the mod file: no other mod is required, and it runs on Forge and NeoForge across 1.20.1, 1.20.6, 1.21.1, 1.21.4 and 1.21.8. Both the client and the server need it. The code is under the MIT License, but the project is not open source.
Key features
Wood armor sets
Oak, spruce, birch, dark oak and acacia logs and planks each have their own armor set.
Special ability armors
Magma, Bedrock, Slime Block, Command Block and Jack'o Lantern armors carry abilities beyond their protection values.
Natural block armors
Dirt, grass block, stone, cobblestone and deepslate armors draw on terrain blocks for a rougher look.
Colored glass and wool
Glass and wool armors come in several types, giving players a range of looks from one material family.

Use cases
Survival variety
Players who want a different armor set than vanilla gear can pick one from the wood, stone or special ability groups.
Themed builds
Snow, melon, pumpkin and command block armors suit builders who keep a costume or theme in mind.
Who it’s for: Players who want many armor options in survival or adventure worlds, and server owners who accept an unbalanced set of gear. The sets are not meant for a strictly balanced progression.
