Cursed Life puts a witch's curse on the player, and the curse keeps pressing back until the player works through it.
What it does
Cursed Life is a magic mod for Fabric, Forge and Quilt that adds a cursed witch and a curse that acts on the player over time. The curse keeps attacking the player, so the player needs to find something that counters it before the effect wears them down. The mod also includes a stuck-status effect that holds the player in place until the curse is lifted.

A witch appears in the world and is the source of the curse that the player must deal with.
Constant curse pressure
The curse keeps trying to harm the player, so the effect continues until it is countered.
