Crumbling Hearts draws a heart-breaking particle effect on the client, with the heart splitting into pieces that fall and fade away.

What it does

The mod breaks hearts into pieces. Its particles can be tuned for color, count, gravity, spread and how quickly they disappear, and the ordinary particle color can be set apart from the color used by the effect. Settings are changed through Mod Menu, which the mod requires for configuration.

Crumbling Hearts is built for Fabric only and is published for 1.18.2, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1, with 1.2 for 1.21.1 as the latest file from 2025-02-26. The mod runs on the client alone, so a server does not need it. The code is not open source and is covered by All rights reserved, with public links for source code and an issue tracker.

  1. Broken heart particles
