Create: pneumatic equipment

by MrKM

Create: pneumatic equipment adds air-powered tools, armor and blocks to the Create mod, all fed from an air backtank.

ForgeClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 or later1.20.1

What it does

The mod adds a Pneumatic Pickaxe and a Pneumatic Axe that run on air from a backtank. Worn tools lose only their enchantments when they break, and Mending raises the air they use. In combat, the pneumatic pickaxe and axe hit with stats close to a sword. Pneumatic Leggings act as an exoskeleton that increases mobility, speed, jump height and the height from which a player can fall safely when powered up. Pneumatic Boots let the wearer fly in a manner similar to a jetpack, with precision controlled by holding Shift while hovering.

The air-related blocks are an Air Vent, which draws air from pipes and stores accumulated pressure, and an Air Dispenser, which fills a backtank. The amount of air an Air Vent draws per second depends on how good its access to air is. Releasing the stored pressure with a redstone signal pushes away mobs within the block's blast zone. The Air Dash is meant to use backtank air to push the wearer in a specific direction.

Create: pneumatic equipment requires Create and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files exist for Forge only, for 1.20.1, with version 0.2 as the latest file, published on 2024-11-15 on the beta channel. The mod is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Pneumatic pickaxe and axe

Both tools draw on an air backtank and keep their enchantments when they wear out.

  2. Pneumatic leggings and boots

The leggings raise mobility and safe fall height, while the boots allow flight controlled by holding Shift.

  3. Air Vent and Air Dispenser

Two blocks handle air: one draws it from pipes into stored pressure, the other fills backtanks.

  4. Pneumatic enchantments

Backtank capacity and other enchantments are designed for pneumatic equipment, and inactive tools can be enchanted.
