Crafting Dead: Core

by ItzAshFox

Crafting Dead: Core is a Forge library that adds zombies, guns, cosmetics and medical supplies, with combat and recovery mechanics built around them.

What it does

Crafting Dead: Core adds a multitude of zombies and guns to the game, along with cosmetics and medical supplies. Guns can be customised with attachments and paints. The combat side is tuned for competitive play, where hit detection, latency handling and recoil are treated as core concerns. The project began years ago as an earlier gun mod and now supports a sizable server network.

Medical supplies include first aid kits and adrenaline, along with bandages, so a player can recover from combat and escape an attack. The mod is published for Forge only, across three release versions for 1.16.4 – 1.18.2, and the latest file is for 1.18.2. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, which makes the project open source.

The author asks players to read the wiki before posting questions or comments. Commercial use is not allowed: the mod cannot be sold, reproduced for profit, or bundled into a pack that gives financial advantage. Personal use, such as hosting a server for friends, is permitted.
