With Complicated Bees, players find bees in the world, domesticate and crossbreed them, and collect honey and bee products that can drop ore resources.

What it does

Bees are generated in the world and can be domesticated and crossbred to produce new species. Each species yields its own combs and bee products, and honey can drop ores such as diamonds and netherite, which lets bee farms supply resources without mining.

The mod is data-driven: new bee species, combs and recipes can be added with datapacks, and almost everything it does can be configured or changed. A full wiki explains how to use the mod and how to configure it through datapacks, and Patchouli adds an in-game guidebook. Tools, armor and building blocks are included. The code is original by ACCBDD and draws on the SirSengir mod for inspiration and some textures.

Complicated Bees requires Forge or NeoForge, is released under the MIT License and is open source. Files cover 1.20.1, 1.20.4 and 1.21.1, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Jade, Just Enough Items and Patchouli are optional, while extra addon mods are required for some content.
