Combat Tweaks
by peaches
Combat Tweaks is a Forge enchantment mod for 1.20.1 that adds enchantments changing how armor, bows, crossbows and tridents behave in fights.
What it does
Helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots each receive enchantments. A helmet can mark attacked entities with a glow that shows them through walls, and it briefly boosts speed after the wearer takes damage. A chestplate can pull attackers toward the wearer, freeze mobs in a small area around the player, and launch the wearer upward when jumping while sneaking. Leggings allow a dash forward or a backward boost while sneaking in mid-air, and boots raise jump height, allow a second jump in the air and give a short speed burst after jumping.
Ranged weapons gain their own effects. A trident can apply bleeding to a struck target or lock a target in place so it slowly rises. A crossbow can cause a spherical explosion where a shot lands, fire extra arrows in four directions, or steal a small part of a target's health. A bow can apply a random negative effect to the target or ricochet the arrow in a new direction after it hits.
The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it. It is published for Forge only, with a single version, 1.20.1. The latest file is 1.0.0, released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.
