Cobbletutor

by DunkerDino

Cobbletutor lets server owners attach a move tutor to any vanilla entity, so players can teach Cobblemon Pokémon moves that are not learned by leveling up.

FabricServer-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.1

What it does

Tutors are assigned by tagging vanilla entities, which turns them into NPCs with configurable rules. When a player talks to a tutor, the mod opens Cobblemon's own party move slot pickers, so teaching follows the same interface players already use. Only moves that are legal for the chosen Pokémon and not learned by level-up can be taught, and replaced moves are stored safely so they can be relearned later.

The mod is configured on the server and runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1 only. Tutoring can be paid with a configurable token item, validated strictly, and admins can optionally bypass the cost. Inspector NPCs show detailed Pokémon stats, and Rules NPCs display the server rules as they are configured. The full list of tutorable moves can be exported to chat, and species presets replace entire movesets. Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything. Cobbletutor is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Configurable move tutors

Any vanilla entity can be tagged as a tutor, and each tutor can be set to teach a chosen list of moves.

  2. Party move slot teaching

Teaching uses Cobblemon's native party move slot pickers, so moves are chosen the same way as in the base game.

  3. Move rules and restrictions

Filters, restrictions, cooldowns and PvP legality can be set per move, and tutorable moves can be toggled on or off.

  4. Token payment

A configurable token item pays for lessons and is checked strictly, and an optional admin bypass skips the cost.

  5. Inspector and Rules NPCs

Inspector NPCs show detailed Pokémon stats, and Rules NPCs present the configured server rules to players.
