Cobblemon Pufferfish's Skills API lets Cobblemon use the experience modifiers of Pufferfish's Skills, tying Pokémon events to skill sources.

What it does

Pufferfish's Skills supplies experience sources and modifiers, and this API connects them to Cobblemon events so that skill progress can change Cobblemon gameplay. Effects are applied to bait, catch chance, mulch yield and related values through add, set and remove operations on the modifiers.

The API runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 and needs Cobblemon and Puffish Skills 0.17.3 installed alongside it. On Fabric it also requires Fabric API. Both the Fabric and NeoForge builds are needed on their respective loaders. The environment is client and server, so the server and every player install it, and the code is under the MIT License without being open source.

Key features

  1. Bait power modifiers

    Numeric bait effects grow with skill level, including bite time and base spawn chance.

  2. Catch rate modifiers

    Percent bonuses, minimums and critical capture chances can apply to all Pokémon or only to matching types.

  3. Mulch yield modifiers

    Coarse and growth mulch gain flat extra yields and chance-based bonuses when crafted.

  4. Modifier operations

    Modifiers can be added, set or removed by the skill sources that Pufferfish's Skills defines.
