Clock HUD

by 123herobrine456

Clock HUD puts the system time on the game screen, so a player can check it without leaving Minecraft or alt-tabbing out of a session.

What it does

Clock HUD draws the system clock as a small overlay on the in-game HUD. The display follows the operating system time, so the readout stays in step with the clock outside the game. A player who runs long sessions can keep track of the hour without switching windows, which is the main case the mod is built around.

The overlay is meant to stay quiet. Its minimalist style is kept close to the vanilla interface, and it adds no heavy rendering work, so it should not cost frames per second. The mod is client-side only, so only the player's game needs it, and a server does not have to run anything. It requires Fabric API and Mod Menu, both of which must be installed next to Clock HUD on Fabric.

Clock HUD is published for Fabric only, across two game versions, 26.1.2 and 26.2. The latest file is 1.0.1 for 26.2, released on 2026-08-18, after the first release on 2026-06-25. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. System time overlay

The current system time is shown on the HUD, taken straight from the operating system clock.

  2. Lightweight rendering

The overlay is drawn with very little work per frame, so it should not noticeably lower the frame rate.

  3. Non-intrusive display

The readout is small and placed in the HUD, leaving the centre of the screen free for play.

  4. Clean vanilla-style look

The text and layout follow the default Minecraft interface, so the overlay blends in with the rest of the HUD.
