Click Translate Baidu, a client-side Utility mod, translates chat messages when they are clicked, using the Baidu Translate API.
What it does
Players click a chat message and the mod sends its text to the Baidu Translate service, then shows the translation. The feature is aimed at Chinese-speaking players who cannot read the language a server uses in chat, and it is provided for the Fabric and Forge loaders.
Because the translation runs through Baidu's API, the player must first register a developer account, then place the APP ID and the secret key in the mod's configuration file. That file, named clicktranslate.cfg or clicktranslate.yml, sits in the game directory's config folder and is edited as plain text. The configuration handling uses the EasyConfiguration library by CarmJos.
Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it and players can use it on any server. Fabric API is required on the Fabric loader, and Mod Menu is an optional companion for opening settings. Files cover 1.8.9 – 1.20.6 across 12 release versions, and the code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, which makes the project open source.
